It depends on what you are optimizing for. Some larger providers carry a broader standing inventory than we do, so if your first requirement is an unusual configuration available right now, start there. If what you want is unmetered bandwidth that is genuinely never throttled, managed services at no cost, a 5 minute support response on every plan, and no-KYC crypto billing, that combination is harder to find. Three reasons stack up. AMS-IX in Amsterdam is one of the world's largest internet exchanges, so traffic already converges there. The Netherlands has abundant subsea cable landings and a dense, reliable power grid. And Dutch privacy law plus EU jurisdiction makes it a neutral home for data that cannot sit in the US. The result is that hosting in Amsterdam usually gives you better European routing than hosting closer to your users but further from an exchange.

You will also see the same servers advertised as Holland or Nederland dedicated servers. Install Proxmox, VMware ESXi, KVM or Hyper-V and carve the box into as many virtual machines as the hardware supports. You keep full root and IPMI access, you are not sharing CPU with anyone, and you are not paying a per-VM margin. For anyone currently running several VPS instances, one dedicated server is usually cheaper and always faster.

Yes, on every Netherlands build. 1Gbps and 10Gbps unmetered are both standard, with 25Gbps and higher available. Unmetered here means what it says: we do not cap the port, throttle it after a threshold, or send an overage invoice. If you outgrow the port you can upgrade it at any time.

Your data stays within EU borders and under Dutch privacy law. Our Amsterdam-area facilities carry ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, PCI-DSS, SOC 2 Type 2 and SOC 3 certification, with biometric access control and 24/7 on-site monitoring. We provide data processing agreements and compliance documentation on request. Every Amsterdam build ships with always-on network-level mitigation at the edge (L3/L4). It filters common volumetric floods (TCP/UDP/ICMP) without adding noticeable latency. For sensitive workloads there are upgrade paths:

• Game-aware profiles for UDP traffic (matchmaking, tick and packet patterns) to reduce false positives.
• Layer-7 options (WAF/HTTP filtering, rate limits, bot rules) for APIs and storefronts.

We commit to 99.99% network uptime monthly. Power and cooling run on redundant paths in Tier III facilities.

• Hardware replacement: failed components are prioritized with an expedited replacement target and verified post-swap testing.
• Service credits: if monthly uptime falls below the SLA we issue service credits based on the documented shortfall, per our SLA schedule. Planned maintenance and factors outside the purchased DDoS and port tiers are excluded. Open a ticket promptly so the team can validate and apply credits.
